the only software I'd force upon any Solopreneur

Today, there is an app, website, or software platform for just about anything.

For creators and entrepreneurs - there's certainly no exception.

Just in my 4 years of online entrepreneurship I've used:

  • 9 different 'email marketing' solutions
  • 8 unique website / landing page builders
  • 6 checkout systems
  • 3 content hosting platforms

And those are just the ones I can recall off the top of my head πŸ˜…

If you're feeling overwhelmed on what you need to get started with building your online business - trust me, I get it.

So many options out there and most people get lost in what 'tools' they need versus just building their business.

But when you boil it all down - from the 26+ tools I've used, one rises above the rest:

ConvertKit.

And here's a few reasons why:

Reason #1: Automations

Hands down, the most intuitive automation builder in the business.

Why it matters: Any business needs a back-end infrastructure of segmentation, email automations, upsells, cross sells, etc. The visual automation builder is an intuitive yet HIGLY configurable feature that I can't live without.

Reason #2: Email Deliverability

ConvertKit makes it so easy to setup DMARC/DKIM on your delivery domain - AND they allow for sending emails out at 5-minute intervals versus the normal 15-minute intervals on other platforms.

Why it matters: As we know from the new email marketing regulations - deliverability is the name of the game. In addition to making compliance super easy, the sending intervals make it so you don't have to 'compete' with every other email marketing solution that has people fighting to reach the inbox on those popular sending intervals.

For example, If I want an email to send around 8:30, I schedule for 8:35 so I'm 'on top' of everyone else sending at 8:30.

Reason #3: Integrations

ConverKit has been around for a long time - and as such integrates with many popular page builders, checkout tools etc.

Why it matters: Your tech-stack should be like a Navy Seal team - working together with cohesiveness and precision. By having many native integrations, you avoid having to 'force' things to work together with a solution like Zapier.

Reason #4: One-Stop Shop

Inside ConvertKit you can spin up opt-in pages, sales pages, receive payment, send emails, segment your list, create automations, and host a blog. It's the ultimate 'Swiss Army Knife.'

Why it matters: Although I've historically used ConverKit to manage lists from just a few thousand subscribers up past 120K subs - CK has release so many new features that are making it easier than ever to build your foundation.

Whether you're starting out as a solopreneur or have a large company - less is (often) more.

Reason #5: L&D, Investment, Company Direction

The new rebrand says it all. ConverKit is such a creator-focused company and is doing so much in the way of education and enablement for creators and companies alike.

Why it matters: Looking at softwares and tools is like buying a house. You want to ensure you're buying or building in the right neighborhood - and are confident it's going to be a good place to dig in for years to come.

If your goal is to either start an email list from scratch, get more out of your current subscribers or have a solution that you can run your entire solopreneur business out of - I can't recommend ConvertKit enough.

Until tomorrow,

-BEN
